What is Moment Medical?

Moment Medical is a physician assistant corporation powered by San Diego Concierge Medicine. 

Do you take insurance?

At this time, we do not accept insurance. Our mission is to take care of patients as people without the limitations from insurance companies by offering affordable cash-only visits. We do not provide superbills to be submitted to insurance.

How does Moment Medical work?

One of the toughest parts of being a patient is not being sure what it is you need. Moment Medical allows that flexibility to figure it out with you. We are able to guide you to the type of medical visit that is best for you. A one stop shop for life's busy moments!

Do you offer refunds?

No, in order for us to keep costs for service reasonable once a visit is done, even if no medication is recommended, no refunds are given. Refunds are only offered if there are any technical issues preventing the visit from being completed.

Can you be my primary doctor?

No, the goal of Moment is to be there in your moment of need and offer customized healthcare by skilled medical professionals. It is important to see a primary healthcare provider for maintenance and screenings.

Do you offer vaccinations?

Not at this time.

What conditions do you treat via telehealth?

Common colds, COVID/flu, sinus/ear infections, pink eye, rashes, minor injuries, UTIs, GI upset, allergies, migraines, medication refills, chronic condition follow‑ups (hypertension, diabetes, thyroid) when stable, and preventive care.

What conditions are not appropriate for telehealth?

Chest pain, severe shortness of breath, fainting, stroke symptoms, uncontrolled bleeding, severe injuries, pregnancy emergencies, suicidal thoughts — call 911 or go to the ER.

Who can be seen? Do you see children?

Adults and, with guardian consent, most children. Age cutoffs and service types vary; some visits may require an in‑person exam or vaccination record.

How do I book an appointment?

Do you offer same‑day visits and after‑hours care?

Same‑day and evening/weekend slots are often available; walk‑ins translate to on‑demand video when open.

What technology do I need?

A smartphone or computer with camera/mic and a stable internet connection. Use Chrome/Safari/Edge; allow camera/mic access.

How do I check in?

Complete the intake forms, ID verification, and consent. Join the visit link 5–10 minutes early, LINK WILL COME THROUGH SAN DIEGO CONCIERGE MEDICINE

Can you prescribe medications?

Yes, for most primary/urgent needs when clinically appropriate. We do not prescribe DEA‑controlled substances via telehealth (e.g., most stimulants, some pain medications), except where legally permitted and clinically indicated.

How do prescriptions get filled?

We send them electronically to your preferred pharmacy.

Can you order labs or imaging?

Yes. We place e‑orders to nearby labs/imaging centers; results are reviewed and shared in your portal with follow‑up guidance.

What does the fee for visit include?

Your visit and recommendations along with prescription and medical note if necessary. Labs/imaging are billed separately by the facility.

Will I be charged if I miss my appointment?

This will be determined on a case-by-case basis

Is my video visit private?

Yes. We use HIPAA‑compliant platforms and encrypt your data. Only your care team can access your records.

How do I access my records?

Use the patient portal to see visit summaries, test results, and messages.

Can you refer me to a specialist or in‑person care?

If appropriate, Moment Medical will see you in person. Referrals however need to come from your primary care physician when appropriate

How do I get help after my visit?

Send a portal message for non‑urgent questions. For new/worsening symptoms, schedule a follow‑up or seek urgent care/ER when appropriate.

What if I’m late or have technical issues?

Join as soon as possible; if you’re over the grace period, we’ll reschedule. For tech issues, try another browser/device or move closer to your router.

How do I update my preferred pharmacy?

In your intake forms or portal profile; we can also update it during the visit.

Can you evaluate rashes, pink eye, or sore throats in children?

Often yes. Some cases may still need an in‑person throat culture, lung or ear exam

Who must be present?

A parent/legal guardian for minors, with photo ID.

Telehealth limitations disclaimer

Telehealth is not suitable for medical emergencies. If we cannot complete an adequate evaluation virtually, we will guide you to in‑person care or the ER.
